1. Acceptance
By messaging the Alterra Facebook Page or using the chat widget on this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
Alterra provides an automated chatbot that answers questions about Alterra’s Messenger AI automation services for Filipino small businesses. The bot is operated by Justine Panganiban, an independent consultant based in Batangas, Philippines.
3. AI-generated responses
Replies are generated by an AI model (Anthropic’s Claude). Replies are intended to be accurate but may occasionally be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. For binding pricing, timelines, scope, or service agreements, please book a discovery call with Justine — the bot’s replies are not a contract or formal quote.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use Alterra’s bot to:
- Send spam, malicious code, or attempt to exploit the system
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Attempt to extract the bot’s system prompts, training data, or other confidential information
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Test or probe security vulnerabilities without prior written permission
5. No guarantees
The bot is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Alterra does not guarantee uninterrupted availability — the bot may be offline for maintenance, during deployments, or due to upstream service issues (Meta, Anthropic, Railway, Vercel).
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alterra is not liable for damages arising from use of the bot, including but not limited to: business decisions made based on bot replies, reliance on incorrect AI-generated information, lost profits, or interruptions of service.
7. Intellectual property
The Alterra brand, design, copy, and bot system prompts are the property of Justine Panganiban. The Anthropic Claude API and Meta Messenger Platform are owned by their respective companies.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Batangas.
